There is a minimum of 4 hours of care per visit and a minimum of 2 days per week of care required, to begin hourly care services. We ask the client to commit to a regular weekly schedule, in order to staff a qualified, consistent Caregiver. It is acceptable to increase the hours after your start-up our service, or decrease as long as the hours still meet our minimum of two days of four hour shifts.. Each case is assigned a Case Manager to oversee this process in order to ensure the Client is satisfied and all care needs are being met.
Clients who need someone to be with them around-the-clock, and are able to allow the Caregiver to adequately sleep at night, will require a live-in Caregiver. Live-in Caregivers can work up to seven days a week and are paid a daily salary, not an hourly rate, or a team of two Caregivers can work a seven-day shift and rotate days to provide the client with a consistent team.
The Caregiver does not “live” with the client. They will go to their own home between shifts. It is important for the client to be comfortable with someone sharing his or her home. If the client’s medical condition dictates that they need the Caregiver to regularly be up with them at night, then it will be necessary to switch to around-the-clock hourly care.
